Meet your Conservation Technician
Rachel Frantz, Conservation Technician
Rachel began as a conservation technician with the district in April 2021. Rachel earned a B.S. in Biology from Western Michigan University, with a focus on Environmental Science. She has been working in natural resources since 2016.
Rachel serves on the Thornapple River Watershed Council and holds a Natural Shoreline Contractor certificate from the Michigan Natural Shoreline Partnership and a Green Infrastructure Contractor certificate. She is passionate about native plants and gardening. In her free time, she kayaks the Thornapple River and gardens and spends time with her family.
She also serves as the Recycling Coordinator for Barry County through a contract.
